Become a Personal Character

Become a Personal Character

By Ustadz Makmun Nawawi
Caliph Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased when walking in the halls of the City of Medina and saw the little boy, he soon met and bowed, as he said, "Son, ask God to forgive us." The friends of Umar was astonished and asked, "You are asking a small child so he prayed to God for you?" Commander of the Faithful replied, "They have maturity and charity records have not been applicable to him, then his prayer efficacious in the sight of Allah. While we've grown up and record already exists in our charity."
That is God's expression of fear on the ambush of the second Caliph, a sturdy and burly, but his anxiety on God was inviting admiration, as if not worthy of the high posture; supposedly on his face there are two black line marks the tears flow (fear in Him).
When Umar bin Khattab read surah at-Takwir paragraph 1, which means "If the sun rolled up," until verse 10 "And when the records (deeds humans) is opened," he fell down, unconscious. At one point, Commander of the Faithful was passed by the house someone who was praying and reading the sura ath-Thur. He paused as he listened, and so arrive at verses 7-8, "Verily Rabbmu inevitable doom, no one can deny," he came down from himarnya, then leaned against the wall, and the quiet pensive moments. And his return at his house, Umar ill a month. People see him and they did not know what he complained.
Shakes kind of anxiety is actually only a small flake of quality manikam morals charm inherent in self Companions, Successors, and pious people long ago. And, it is very functional at all in the delivery of persons of character ideal, ie, intense worship and productive in doing other pious charity, and can reduce themselves from the deviant behavior.
Thus, fear (khauf) important is owned by a Muslim, because Abu Hafs-Uzbekistan-born Sufi said, "Khauf is the lamp of the heart, with khauf will look good and the bad one's heart." While the Koran warned, "So do not fear them, but fear Me, if you are really believers." (Ali Imran: 175). In another verse, Allah describes the character of the faithful with, "Gastric they are far from his bed, while they call on their Lord with fear (khauf) and hope." (Surat as-Sajdah: 16).
In many of his verses, God not only commanded that fear, but also often portray the various things that seyogiannya led to fear a slave, for example, when explaining about the damn hell, riot doomsday, or unfortunate people of the past. Differences with the salafus pious old times that easily touched, scratched, even shocked his heart by listening to the Qur'an, man is now possible to visualize how the power of God that appear on this earth, so that the various calamities and disasters come and go too. Then, still  we lazy take lessons? Bish-shawab Allaah knows best. (Republika)
